Our story

When I traveled to Morocco in the spring of 2023 as a lead-up to the opening of Lost in the Souk, I met Mohammed. What quickly evolved from a professional relationship to an intense friendship later grew into a remarkable love story (which we are more than happy to share with our travelers during our time together in Morocco). We traveled the world and all of Morocco together.

Mohammed, with years of experience as a private guide in Morocco and I as a creative centipede are the best team to take your travel experience to the next level.

Whenever possible, we love to meet you during your trip through Morocco and personally show you our favorite places in the country.

Our travel vision

As a Belgian-Moroccan couple, Morocco has a special place in our hearts. Many of our best memories and unforgettable adventures have taken place in this marvelous country.

We are driven by a genuine love for discovering the world. By traveling regularly to different destinations, we gain firsthand insight into what makes a journey truly exceptional. Experiencing places ourselves allows us to better understand the needs, expectations, and dreams of modern travelers.

Morocco holds a special place in our work and hearts. We travel extensively across the country from vibrant cities to remote villages, visiting hotels, personally trying accommodations, meeting trusted partners, and connecting with local communities. My immense travel itch and fascination for the Arab world with Morocco in particular prompted the founding of Lost in the Souk.

Dozens of trips took me to far-flung corners of the country during my student days. When I graduated with a degree in Tourism Management in late 2022, I decided to make my childhood dream of running my own travel agency come true.

Since opening Lost in the Souk in the spring of 2023, I have been providing advice and assistance to all our travelers before, during and after their trip. Fulfilling your travel dreams is my passion.

As a resident of Tangier (in northern Morocco) and an avid traveler through the country, I personally discovered all the must-sees for an unforgettable journey through Morocco. With a focus on authentic experiences and unforgettable encounters, I can design your tailor-made journey.

Mohammed

Mohammed’s adventure in tourism began in 2012 when he took his first steps into the field with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management. While studying, he continued to work toward his dream, organizing weekend excursions in and around Tangier for Moroccan sports enthusiasts. Each weekend featured a new challenging hike or encounter with a traditional Berber family.

A few years later, he earned a master’s degree in guiding. Meanwhile, he has more than 7 years of experience as a professional guide.
